Of course, it wasn't just any game, it was a Mass Effect game, so standards and expectations were understandably high, and there's little question that Andromeda failed to meet those. I certainly think BioWare was wrong to go open-world, or at least to design its open-world the way it did, but I don't think the game was as bad as many claimed. There were some laughably bad aspects of Andromeda, like the much ballyhooed facial animations, but there were many enjoyable aspects of the game as well, including its combat system, graphics, and enjoyable protagonists.
Now any plans for a sequel have been shelved, and the likelihood of single-player DLC for the game seems very slim.
